Our hands on chocolate making class will teach you how we make our small-batch, hand-crafted bars, from bean-to-bar. We will begin with exploring the art of bean sorting, gently roasting, grinding, and tempering, with testing and tasting along the way. You will mold and wrap two of your very own bars. We’ll take you through our complete process, hands-on. Includes kitchen tour, hands-on experience and two bars of chocolate to take home. All are welcome.

Reservations must be made the day before the workshop. At this time, we are unable to accommodate same-day reservations.

  • You will be making 70% dark chocolate bars. We do not offer milk chocolate options.
  • Our kitchen is vegan, nut-free, gluten-free, and soy-free.
  • Close-toed shoes are strongly encouraged. However, we provide foot booties for all participants.

FAQs

Where do I park? You may park in the lot behind our shop where Russell’s Eat Healthy and Bring Me a Kayak are located. You may also park in the building lot directly to our south, where NaPali Brewery and Fillo’s are located. There is limited space directly in front of the shop.

Can I bring non-paying participants with me? Unfortunately no. Wild Kauai Chocolate workshops are in a small, 300 sq ft facility and workshops frequently sell out. There is not enough room in the facility to have non-paying participants sit in during the workshop.

May I get on a wait list if a workshop is full? Yes, you may call to get on a wait list. However, please know that cancellations are extremely rare.

It’s raining and my morning activity at another location was cancelled. Can I get in this morning? I would love to squeeze you in, but I am unable to do so. There is a lot of prep work involved in workshops, and we are unable to accommodate same day reservations.

How many people can you have in workshops? Due to space limitations, we can only allow 10 participants per workshop. We do not have the facility space to fit in any additional participants.

We don’t like dark chocolate. Do you have a milk chocolate option? No, we do not. Our kitchen is vegan, so there are no milk chocolate options. We do not make milk chocolate, and cannot easily substitute given our chocolate-making process.

I would like to bring my own ingredients to add into my bars. May I do this? Possibly. Our kitchen is vegan, nut-free, gluten-free and soy-free. We do have people participating with some allergens. So please ask before you bring in add-ins. We’ll let you know if those are ok. Please note the shops is nut free and I cannot make exceptions for this.

After the workshop, we’ll be out and about most of the day. Will our chocolate melt? You will learn all about our tempering process during the workshop. The temper should keep your chocolate solid. However, it is advisable to bring a cooler or backpack to store your chocolate bars during the rest of your adventures.
